The Founders Story
Molly McKinley began her early career as an events planner for an upscale art gallery in Chicago. She moved to San Francisco where she pursued her love for the arts and ran a small art gallery. After an impromptu interview at a local restaurant, Molly switched gears and started a career in high-tech PR. For the past five years she has worked in PR but somehow needed to combine her love for the arts and her belief that everyone had an inner “crafty girl” they needed to explore.

After Molly’s first son was born, she knew it was time to get started on her dream and build a company that created high-quality, meaningful products that was also very pro-family. While on maternity leave, Molly hosted showers for her girlfriends and made the burp cloths and bodysuits project the primary activity at the event. Everyone from the youngest niece to grandma, had so much fun making the items, she knew this was the idea to share with others. Molly reconfirmed her commitment to build a company that celebrates women and motherhood and create an environment that supports creative, talented individuals in their pursuit to have it all—the true work-life balance. As Luckybug continues to grow, she remains steadfast in this commitment and believes strongly in advocating women’s and children’s issues. Keep your eye on this little company; we hope to help you find your inner creator and remember to pursue your childhood dreams!
